I know we solve a lot by spanking around here. But the Eighties needed needs more than spanking for that fashion.
I even think her hair is crimped.
I do not see how this can be forgiven.

Poppy, good morning. :rose :sun :rainbow :rain

If I remember rightly, I enjoyed the Eighties. :cocktail :cake
I was rather ill towards the end of them and retired in Eighty-nine and consequently moved to Cornwall.
The girls were freer and not everyone wore the dreaded tights. :happy
There was quite a lot of spanking, but not nearly as openly as now.
The Internet came into being in 1990 and things immediately went from bad to worse.
The world suddenly got very small, and people started talking.
Have a great day, :sun :4leaf :4leaf :rose
Love and warm hugs, :love
Paul.
Poppy, you were supposed to burn that photo of Scarlet, not post it on your blog!
But I think you’re right, it would take an awful lot of spanking to made up for the 80s.
Paul, I liked the eighties but I was a child and I think they were easier to be in than to look at. I am so glad you live in Cornwall. It is such a beautiful place to live.
Em, Scarlet said it was the best photo of the lot. I just think I should not get the spanking for the eighties as I was not old enough to be responsible for them. For once, it really was not my fault.
How you can tell that’s the 80s I have no idea – but the pink garter belt does rather clash with the gray hosiery.
And quit making fun of Scarlet’s hair.
How can you not tell that is the eighties?
Scarlet should not have hair like that if she wants us not to make fun of it.
I can’t stop hearing the theme tune to Miami Vice.
Sorry, what did you say? This music is so loud–wait a minute. There! I’m listening to my favorite Abba record. Has anyone seen my leg warmers?
I’m of a mind to help the poor girl out. Obviously, most on this blite are unaware of the horrors she is recovering from, namely the Seventies. Bad hair, bad clothes, bad music, bad dancing, bad economy, etc, the girl needs a hug and support on her recovery from such things. She may, however, need a cleansing spanking to feel she has paid penance for the poor choices she made in that earlier decade. Then, thoroughly renewed, we could hold her to account for not proceeding through the recovery stage of the Eighties.
And how will the Tops pay for the poor choices they made in that earlier decade?
I certainly wouldn’t like to pay for the state of the British economy in the seventies!
Alice, we Tops must bear our burdens as men. Girls are offered the opportunity to wipe their slate clean. If the poor girl can bear the shame of how she surrendered to fashion in the seventies, then there is no need to spank her. However, if she would like to clear her conscience we Tops will see she is able to release her guilt.
Really, we are just nice guys…with rough hands.
You will be pleased to know that I can bear that shame. You can just relax and have a beer. :beer
I have quite a lot of shame about the seventies. I may need a clean slate.
Sorry, Nikolai, can you leave the beer for later? Scarlet would like a spanking.
Are you saying you need a spanking, Scarlet?
Scarlet, you made me giggle.
I was dressed by other people in the seventies. I was therefore innocent of all polyester charges.
But you can see where a girl might be ashamed is she’d chosen her own clothes in the seventies, can’t you, Poppy? I’m sure Alice is burdened with her shame. I shall await the time when she needs to be absolved, it could take years.
I think Scarlet should take he old photos out and post them here. Then a vote on what would be needed to scour this shame from her being?
Try being a teenager during the polyester seventies,I’m STILL traumatized!
I am sure Dev and Nikolai looked snazzy in their leisure suits.
Kaki, if you are going to bring up bad memories, you should know that I find spanking girls very therapeutic. I know you’ll want to help with my therapy, right?
I will not post any pictures here, but I will give you a hint: Farrah Fawcett style hair, long, layered and made BIG with hot curlers. Painter pants or overalls. POW bracelet (nothing wrong with that; just a sign of the times). Music was the Eagles and Chicago and Alan Parsons Project and Steely Dan (nothing wrong with that either). The seventies was really my era, as it encompassed middle school, high school and college.
I admit to all of it. I think that’s enough for a clean slate. No spanking necessary! Thanks, though, for the offer, really.
Leisure suits were late 70s, and I did own one, a denim one. I wore it once and then gave it to Goodwill and stuck with Levi’s jeans. In the 80s I wore woolen suits and worked in a bank. I personally am responsible for the slaughter of very few polyesters.
I’m with you Poppy – I had not yet reached the age of reason, or reasonable dress.
I don’t remember anything special about the 80′s, the 70′s were more my time.
Long straight hair, hip hugger bell bottom jeans -early 70′s, preppie oxford shirts ( I think that was the 70′s) cords and jeans.
I wore a leisure suit to one school dance and then promptly never went to another. My age group ushered in the eighties and thankfully the death of Disco.
Hey Nik, Saturday Night Fever rocked.
The eighties, for me: trying to be a big girl in a corporate world. Wearing business suits that made me look like a man. Bow tie blouses, and if the blouses didn’t have a tie, you could add a little ribbony one from Talbots that you tied in a bow under the collar of a button down oxford cloth blouse.
We weren’t embracing our femininity at work then, we were more or less masking it, insisting we were all the same. Gender neutral was the theme of the day, only it came across, for me at least, as more gender masculine. I think I spent most of that decade losing little bits of myself, and most of the time since then reclaiming them.
I never thought of that aspect of the eighties. I was not out there but that is such an interesting thing to consider.
I think that is what makes me confused about women that say that feminism is a bad thing, its feminism that lets us be girls when we want to be. I am glad you are reclaiming all those bits of yourself. Every little bit needs gathering and taking very great care of.
Scarlet, funny you should mention that this morning, I was thinking about the business suits in the 80′s. I think every women in our company had a gray pantsuit with a pink shirt or sweater ( mine was a cowl neck sweater) and don’t forget the navy blue one.
The early 80′s was when I left school. The day of my final exam was great, as I knew I’d never have to go back to school again…..oh happy day. I absolutely DETESTED school, the only subject I enjoyed was history.
Oh and Poppy, I could spank you for the 80′s, ****, I could spank you for anything.
Hey, I found this old magazine from the mid-80s, Spy. This issue even has a story about NYC brats.
Nik, through you, the internet is a very literate place!
