I have noticed something.
My hair is getting wilder.
I can straighten it and make it behave but it takes application of several products and no small amount of heat.
Left to its own devices, my hair is a riot of curls and turns and does nothing it is told, even when it’s tied up.
I cannot help but think there is something I should be learning here.

I believe you’re right. Nature could be trying to teach you something here. In fact, I think all of us can learn something useful from this.
Have a wonderful day, Poppy. I hope you don’t feel the need to say those 40 words from that movie this morning. :love
Poppy, good morning :rainbow :rose :star
I’m sure that with a bed head you look adorable. I suspect Himself would agree.
Have a good one. :4leaf
Love and warm hugs, :love
Paul.
Clearly your Wild Woman nature is finding its expression in many ways! Good for you.
“The Wild Woman is the one who thunders in the face of injustice. She is the one who keeps a woman going when she thinks she’s done for. The Wild Woman is fluent in the languages of dreams, images, passion and poetry. No act of love or social justice occurs without her. She lives in women everywhere…She leaves footprints behind for us to try on for size.”–Clarissa Pinkola Estes
A female bottom’s hair is a sort of revenge; it shows us what we put tops through, as it never does a blessed thing we want it to.
Mindy, I had a much better day, thank you. I am just not sure I want to learn a lesson. I am happy not to learn anything at all.
Paul, I did have a good one- I hope you did too. I have no idea if he likes how I look in the morning. I am rubbish in the morning and am unable to talk or listen for a little while (about an hour.)
Scarlet, you know I love that quote! I love it, love it, love it! This should be required reading for every woman. Wonderful, thank you.
Erica, fabulous idea. We are pretty. Hair is pretty. We are difficult to control. Hair is difficult to control. I think we should accept the universe and all its quirks and not question the essential nature of things.
Hi there,
Just popping in a bit…been crazy busy (hey where’s that little bee?). I love yesterday’s poem – its so true and I aspire to it. I’ve been completely stressing out (hence still aspiring) and now that all my immediate presentations/meetings are over – it wasn’t worth it all is fine. I’m looking forward to some down time and maybe some anti-stressing with Fisher.
My hair NEVER behaves unless I get the hairdresser involved and if it’s raining which it does alot where I live, even that won’t last more than 8 hours or so. Still, hey it has character
Poppy, I hope the answer isn’t turning up the heat.
Annie, Kaki, I nearly forgot to tell you – Poppy said that she has been put to bed by ‘someone horribly mean’ but will be back to chat with you tomorrow.
Thank you kindly :rainbow
Well, this is something to consider……My hair has gotten wilder, and curlier the older I get! When it first happened with a vengeance, I cut it all off. It took revenge, because little did I know, the length was weighing it down somewhat……ahem…..I felt like Medusa! It was not pretty, let me tell you…..although my hair was shorter, somehow I became wider.
I have taken notes from various places…..it is all long again, and if I desire control I simply tie it up in a knot! Knots are very useful things. Not ONLY does this immediately help, if I do it when it is wet – I have a vague sense of control of this beast, even when it has dried, until it is again bathtime. It seems to hold its more tamed down shape for a bit…
I am not in ANY way sharing this to imply some sort of corrolation with anything. Don’t go jumping to conclusions!
Annie, wild hair is a sign you are an impressive lady. Never let yourself be tamed! Or just kick and scream a lot as it happens.
Kaki, no, it never means that.
Kundalini, you sound delightful and I wish I had time to play, I have people over all weekend and have to be brief. Tie me up, Tie me down- seen it? I think you should. I think it might speak to you.
xx
Why, no – no I have not. I will have to look it up. Okay….I did just now. :!: I’m sure anything with Antonio in it would be completely on the up and up – don’t you? I am really more of a bookish sort, to be honest……but I will try. I get points for trying, right?
