Another reason to love him

I know just how Lauren feels in this picture. I never understand why Bogey is not described as beautiful, I think he is stunning. I just wanted to show this picture to you because it makes me happy to see it and I hope it makes you happy too.

And Bogey is a Top if ever there was one. I don’t know if he was a spanking man but this article gives me hope that he was.

Are there any modern stars that strike you as very Toppy?

    Hi Poppy,

You won’t believe it but I was just pondering that question myself. I’m afraid not many men come to mind. How about Harrison Ford? I think Nicolas Cage could pull it off, ok I don’t know who the guy was on Shopoholic but he would be on my list. My mind is drawing a blank…probably because I should be going now.

  2. Paul says:

Poppy, good evening. :rose :rainbow :star
He is certainly very handsome, and a girl might think him stunning. Grin
If I remember rightly, many of the male actors seemed more manly in the forties and fifties. Eek! Alien
As my attention wasn’t really on the screen, names escape me, if the truth be told I was rather more interested in the girls. Oops!
    Have a nice evening. :4leaf :4leaf
Love and warm hugs, :love :4leaf
    Paul.

  3. Poppy says:

Annie, anyone but Nicholas Cage. Have you not seen footage of his tantrums? He is such a bully.
So you can have anyone in the world but him.

Hi, Paul! Isn’t it freezing! I am so cold that I need a bath to warm up.
There was a glamour in that era and we do like a bit of glamour around these parts. Smile You have a good evening too.

  4. Lorraine says:

Modern stars? No. Can’t think of a single one.

  5. Annie says:

Wow – no I hadn’t known anything about that! Scratch Nicolas Cage off the very short list then. It actually snowed here last night and is snowing still…I’m just using our gas fireplace to warm up although I think later a nice hot bath is in order. Hot chocolate comes to mind as well.

    Casablanca – sigh…

  6. Mindy says:

    Harrison Ford?

  7. scarlet says:

I think George Clooney has a natural elegance about him. And I think I could be made to mind him.

Did anyone see Daniel Craig in the James Bond role? Very Toppy.

    And Clint Eastwood.

  8. scarlet says:

And I do find Bogart very manly, too, and that’s always yummy.

  9. Annie says:

I think you have a good point there re George Clooney Scarlet…Mindy you are making me feel old – is it that you don’t agree with me re Harrison or that he’s not modern? I do think of English accents in that way but Hugh Grant – not so much

  10. Poppy says:

Scarlet, I very much agree with all of those people. Yummy time a lot. Yummy squared.

Mindy, I don’t know Harrison Ford well enough, I have seen a few films with him in but never really focussed on him. If you think he is sexy then I will accept your choice.

Annie, good thinking- about the scratching and the bath. I am off for one myself in a minute.

    Lorraine, not even Mr Clooney?

  11. DJ Black says:

    Hi All

I just dropped in cos I got a mention (thanks P).

Not sure I am qualified on this one – although please don’t cite Hugh Grant as being a representative of England.

I think there is a multitude of modern actor(esses) who would benefit from a firm hand, pref mine Lol.

    Best, DJ Black (London)

  12. Poppy says:

    Hi, DJ!

Yes, Hugh Grant is not at all sexy and totally not like the rest of us. Shudder and blugh.

You may spank lots of actresses as long as you leave us good girls alone.

  13. Lorraine says:

Mr. Clooney has a great voice, but also a couple of mannerisms that are distractingly odd (especially a sort of rocking from side to side when he talks). I like to think actually some of the more dreamy sexy actors could well be Tops, but they want to show diversity and “story-arced” characters, plus perhaps because of over-zealous political correctness there are no serious roles at present for them to directly express their Topness, and so we just have to wonder and fantasize… I find Johnny Depp very attractive–his eyes are really intense, but he makes it so difficult by being so weird and creative!

  14. Kaki says:

I know I am late with this but I vote for Alan Rickman. He is so sexy and he voice .. Oops!

  15. scarlet says:

Lorraine, I completely agree about Johnny Depp. There are places and times that he could fulfill all my fantasies, and then the next thing I know he’s wearing make up and prancing around in high heels. I still love him, though.

  16. Em says:

I vote for Dylan McDermott, he seems to have plenty of toppyness.

Alan Rickman’s voice is delicious, I am sure he can give quite a scary scolding.

I like the guy who plays McDreamy too. I don’t know his name but I love how quietly he speaks but still so assuredly. I think he would be best at making a girl feel utterly horrible for letting him down (not that that would happen, because we’re all such good girls).

  17. devlinoneill says:

Just a thought – Mark Harmon, who plays Special Agent Gibbs on “NCIS,” an American television show about the US Navy, sort of.

I know Toppy. Gibbs is Toppy.

    Just saying.

  18. Mindy says:

Annie, I didn’t mean to make you feel old. I actually didn’t read your comment when I posted it. It was just me thinking aloud – that Harrison Ford might be a choice. If it’s of any comfort to you, I’m older than the owner of this blit.

  19. Em says:

How could I have forgotten Gibbs? Yes he is definitely toppy, and the best part is he can also be trained to bring girls presents! These are usually in the form of energy drinks, but I’m sure we can redirect him onto chocolate and wine.

  20. Em says:

And now that I’ve got my mind on tv characters – the man from the Mentalist, Simon Baker (?), can we please have him too?

  21. scarlet says:

Em, we can have Simon Baker and Gibbs. Good call, Dev. It takes one to know one, I see!

  22. devlinoneill says:

I have never seen The Mentalist, but I trust your judgment, Em. Well, in some things. I’m sure Gibbs would laugh, or something, if told to bring Abby anything besides Kaf-Pow.

    And thanks, Scarlet. Wink

  23. Tricki says:

    Jason Isaacs.
