When things are not going well I think I may run away to sea.
I get sea sick and I am not sure about internet reception but apart from that I am sure it will all work out. I like the outfits.
I do hope you have all made google into pirate google. If not then please do.

But if I cannot find a pirate ship I can settle for a little rowing boat.

Poppy, good morning.
I can just see you as a pirate, dressed like that second picture here in November, “shiver my timbers”, brrrr. ;(
Love and warm hugs,
Paul.
That pirate girl looks gorgeous on the pic with the boat
Hugs,
Maria
Pirate google? What’s that?
Pirates are the best fun. Pirates who are like Johnny Depp are particularly super.
I do not have a pirate ship, but I do have a little rowing boat that is just like that one. It is even blue! It is lovely in the summer on the pond but in the winter it is far too cold. But if you are sailing off somewhere hot to engage in piracy on the high seas, you are welcome to take it with you.
Viola, how come you are so nice, will you be a granddaughter?
Warm hugs,
Paul.
Poppy, I get seasick, too, but I want to sail away on the high seas and feel the wind in my hair and hold a cutlass between my teeth! I want sand under my toes when we find an island to plunder, and I want a rakish pirate to sleep against at night, and I want to see the moon reflected on the water at two a.m., when my pirate and I are sipping from a bottle of rum.
I do not so much want the skull though. Someone else can have that.
Scarlet, you paint a beautiful picture of the (not very) high seas. I am with you on the skull front.
Viola, you simply must get yourself to google and type “pirate google” in. It translates everything into pirate speak. I bet your lecturerers (sp??) would love it if you typed your essays like that.
Maria, she does, doesn’t she? She was the girl that made me think about being a pirate.
Paul, my timbers are very much shivering today. Do you think Scarlet will let us share her rum to keep warm?
I love the song “Pirate Jenny” from Brecht’s Threepenny Opera (I think).
Arrrr!

My anti-virus avast speaks like a pirate! It was a special for speak like a pirate day! It had the option to keep it for afters so of course I did!
A while ago I visited Chile, and of course visited the poet Pablo Neruda’s houses in Valparaiso and Isla Negra. He loved the sea, and arranged his house in Valparaiso so that when he sat up in bed, all he could see was the Pacific – despite being perched above the crowded city below. In Isla Negra he had a boat, laid out for his guests, and they would have drinks on it before dinner. But he suffered terribly from sea-sickness, so the boat was on land, and again cunningly placed so that you could just see rocks and water. This taught me a useful lesson – let your appreciation of the aesthetic determine how you live your life, and just work around the weaknesses of the body.
