You are the person who reads this and smiles.
You are the person I want to see this.
You are a man who spanks girls, or wishes he had a girl to spank.
I am shy to admit it but I know you are good at secrets. The thought that a man reads this, a man who spanks girls – that makes me a little squirmy.
You are the girl who gets spanked.
You are the girl who sighs and wishes that she were spanked.
Knowing that someone reads here makes me feel wonderful. I write this for you. A letter from me to you every time.
I wish I could send some of this back in time. I wish I could tell the twenty-year-old me some of this. But telling you is enough, sharing how I feel with another girl who feels some of the same things I do. We have a conspiratorial moment here, you and I.
We know, don’t we, what it is to be a girl like this? I find it wonderful that we can speak to one another, laugh, sympathise, wonder together.
We are watched a little as we talk of course. (You may be able to pick out the evesdropper in this painting. He is King Rodrigo no less.)
You, the man or the girl, the reader or the viewer, every time you click you make me smile and you make me happy.
You are whom I write for.
Thank you.
And this last picture is for Paul because he said he needed cheering up. You cheer me up so much, Paul, that I hope I can do the same for you. I think this is very pretty. I hope you do too.

This is a very sweet letter to your readers, Poppy. It’s one reason why so many folks stop by here, and the sort of thing that got you named blogger of the month on Spanking Bloggers Network.
Lovely post Poppy…I’m very glad you are here and willing to share with us.
Thank you, and congrats on being blogger of the month!
Poppy, Good morning, thank you, the reason that I need cheering up is that I am ill.
It seems that ever since I left the hospital my immune system is depressed.
So I went to our walk-in health centre, they think that my prostate has an infection,
It’s very uncomfortable and I should see my GP on Monday.
I have antibiotics, which I don’t like but must take.
I agree with every word Dev writes.
It was such a pleasant surprise to see your name in my in box this morning.
Such a kind and gentle post, with picture to match.
I love the Poppies picture, but the first is quite fun.
Love and warm hugs,
Paul.
Good morning!
Thank you, Dev. I think the reason people can read here is because I have an editor who makes my pronouns all match up.
Kate, thank you. Most kind.
Paul, I am so sorry to hear you are having a bad time. I hope your GP can sort it out. The pictures are cute, aren’t they? Happy.
Awww that’s lovely, Poppy
And I absolutely adore that second picture!
Poppy~ that was beautifully written.
Thank you and thank you!
I hope you are both having a wonderful day.
Delurking to say you make me smile, too, Poppy. I enjoy your blog very much!
Vanessa, thank you so much! I know how hard it is to delurk and the effort is very much appreciated. Thank you again!
Thank you, Poppy! I do so enjoy reading your writing. It makes me smile often but also think! That is a good thing.
Hi, Lallie, thank you for decloaking. I had no intention of trying to persuade people to say hello on here but I am very, very thrilled that some people have. I am glad you smile and glad that I sometimes make you think. Although you should have chocolate if you think too hard or your brain will explode.
The chocolate theme appeared elsewhere today, a couple of times, didn’t it? Is today some sort of chocolate event I wasn’t aware of?
Regardless, yes, it is lovely for you that all these nice new folks dropped in and said hello.
Life is the chocolate event of which you seem unaware.
Poppy, you have a talent for picking the perfect words and photos. Lovely post!
Thank you so much for this post Poppy……..I am a man who spanks girls……thank you for your words…….delicate and delightful as always…….and for the lovely photos. You write so openly, perceptively and honestly that you blow me/us away!

I am sorry I have been so late replying – very hectic two days. My feet hurt and my head hurts but I am glad to see your happy message.
Such a lovely sentiment and so reassuring. It gets lonely out here sometimes. It’s nice to feel this connection.
