I was looking for pictures of Marilyn and I found this.
Now, we know that I adore Marilyn but we girls also know about women like this. When you have a lover/boyfriend/husband/adoring other half, there are some women who find it hard to imagine that he could possibly be off limits. This is one of those moments.
Look at Marilyn’s beautiful face and the leaning and the flirtation on both parts.
Look at where Humphrey’s eyes are resting. She is stunning; it is neither her fault nor his.
Look at Lauren’s face. She smiles the tight smile.
As someone in love with Bogart and even more in love with Bogart and Bacall, I did not like this picture so I searched until I found the one below.
He loves her. She knows it.
And you know, she loves him too.
Poppy, when you have a face such as Marilyns’, you wil be expected to play the vamp.

In the second picture Marilyn looks to be adoring Bogie and Bacall’s obvious love for each other (or maybe she’s a tad envious perhaps).
Bogart and Bacall! I’ve always loved seeing them in pictures and on screen together. It always seemed like the air just sizzled between them. Love Lauren’s hand on his knee and that look on her face – you always find the best pictures Poppy.

I just had the best shopping trip.
I think Marilyn was just being as she was, true to her nature (much less annoying that other women who are man gatherers) and I agree that she would be happy to watch the love of B & B. I think people always love to see love and to be around it.

I, too, love Bacall and Bogart. I wonder which celebrities, if any, among us today will carry such a legacy.

Marilyn doesn’t look totally left out in the cold in the second picture, but I think she was grown up enough to know she didn’t have Bacall’s class. Like Poppy said, she’s okay watching the love.
