I did not realise this but yesterday was my one year anniversary. (I know because Dev told me.)
My aim one year ago was
1) To start to learn how to write a little.
2) To try to get something published.
3) To get 36,000 hits.
I am pleased with how it is going. I am starting to learn how to write but Himself still helps lots and lots. I have one short story published and another three on the way.
I am trying to write a book but I do find that having a blog that I try to update each day makes that hard. The thing is I love writing bits and pieces on here. I do think it helps to have a blog. I know much more than I used to about writing and know that I have only about 56,000 things left to learn. So that is progress.
The 36,000 thing was a random number, and seemed huge at the time. I know there are some people (A Voice In The Corner) who have double the amount I have in their first year. I have a long way to go.
And thank you for reading. Thank you very much. I am humbled that anyone bothers. Having a blog is a life altering experience and a huge part of that is knowing that people read what I write. It takes my breath away and makes me shy when I think of it.
Thank you again.

Thank for your year of writing. As I’ve said before, your writing is delightful, sensitive and perceptive. Even when I don’t comment I do read. All good wishes as you begin your second year.
Aristotle
I agree with Aristole Poppy. Your writing is beautiful, erotic, perceptive. You have such a way with words, wonderful. You’re very talented.
Thank you for sharing this year with us.
Love,
Ronnie

Thank you so much, both of you. I have oodles yet to learn but with such kind and gentle readers the task does not seem so great.

I’m very proud of you, little girl.
The cherry blossoms are a nice touch.
Poppy, you have added so much to our little piece of the blogspere, and your writing is a delight. Thank you and Cheers to year two!
Thank you so much and now I realise I should have made a cake.
I will add one! (The Cheers made me think of champers but it is a little early for it- even for me)
Poppy, let me add my congratulations to those above. I think it’s axiomatic that the best way to improve ones writing is by writing regularly, and you’ve certainly been doing that, as evidenced by the frequency of your blog posts.
And while there’s a lot of material on spanking out there on the net, your “voice” is fresh and unique. I think that your willingness to share your deep personal feelings is what particularly endears you to so many readers, myself included.
Karl, that really blew me away. What a lovely, lovely thing to say. Thank you so much. Your comment will stay with me for a long time. Thank you.
I’m so glad that a year ago you decided to begin. Please don’t stop.
Congrats, Poppy
I´m so happy I found you!
Keep writing, it always makes my day better!
Hugs,
Maria
Poppy, a dear and very cute girl,
.

Congratulations on your first blogiversary.
You will go from strength to strength, that’s an order.
But you really don’t need an order, you write both beautifully and tastefully, and I would be devastated, were you to cease.
Your picture selection is superlative.
Now I’m going to stop with the flattery, otherwise your head will go bang, and we wouldn’t want that!
Even so, I think that over the last year I have read nothing unseemly, or seen anything ugly.
If you do as well in the coming year, and I don’t doubt that you will, my faith in you is more than justified.
Believe me Poppy, there isn’t a word of flattery in the last two sentences.
Love and warm hugs.
Paul.
You highlight nuances I would have thought indescribable, and you do it with such a casual air… As Scarlet, like sunlight on water. Write on!
Pop.
That was my head.
I am so shy now that I will have to come back later to say thank you.
But thank you now for a start!
I’ll say thanks to everyone as well, just as a fill in, but Paul, a lot of her shyness is your fault. I nearly cried when I read your comment, and it wasn’t even directed at me!
Poppy — Congratulations, and happy anniversary. Your writing is lovely, much like yourself.
Congratulations, getting that first year under your belt is a big step. Good luck with the book.

Thank you and thank you again.
I am having a little drink to celebrate, just Baileys not champagne but it is delicious.
(And Paul, you made me well up too.)
Happy blogaversery <(not sure how to spell that) from me as well. Poppy I check your blog EVERY single day and it is always a refreshing pause in my day.
Thank you! And spelling is not something i can talk to other people about. I am flattered that you read everyday. Thank you every day.
Congrats on 1 year! It does go by fast… especially when we’re having fun.

My pleasure!
Your writings are as beautiful as they are insightful.
Thank you so much Todd and Suzy, you have been very kind giving me advice and support and I appreciate that very much.
Welcome Mr J and thank you very much!
Poppy, sorry I’m late to your celebration. I can’t believe it’s a year already! So much has happened in your life in so short a time, and I’m not just talking blogs. I have witnessed your growth and flowering, carefully tended by Himself, but also driven by your talent, creativity, intelligence, will and strength. You are an amazing woman whom it is my honor to call friend. Here is to continued success in your future.
Michael, I wish I was next to you right now so that I could give you a big hug.
You are a wonderful man and I do adore you. Thank you for being my friend.
Poppy, I am hugging you back.
