I missed this picture the other day when I did my post about the horrible words, “Bend Over.” But I think it is so perfect it deserves its very own post.
Here are some of the things I love about it.
The shoes, I cannot see her shoes which leaves me free to imagine that they are the right type of shoes and not some horrible, nasty shoes that break the scene and make the whole thing sordid and horrible.
All her clothes are perfect. Those socks we had to wear at school and the blouse are just right. Her knickers are cute and childlike without being childish and icky.
She is looking around just how I do, sneaking a peek whilst clutching onto the sofa for comfort. I think the man she is looking at was just fetching an implement when she dared to look. She is curious but not bold. I think that just as she turns around he comes back and she stuffs her face back into the sofa as fast as she can. Her face will get all hot and pink as she pushes it against the fabric but she doesn’t care. She can’t bear to look at him. When he demands an answer she turns her face to the side so that she can see only the wall and not his strict eyes.
That is a terrible angle for a bum to be at. Now that I have looked at this picture for so long I have too much empathy to remain detached. I know just how she would feel and I have a sinking, trembly feeling in my tummy as I write this. Her bottom would feel cool in the air and far too exposed. She would worry about how much he can see and would do all she can to keep her legs as tight together as he would let her. She would feel shy and sorry for herself before he even started. But when he did start it would all be so painful. Her sit spot is there, everything is there, all her most tender parts offered up so that he can strike them easily.
I hope he will not be too strict or spank too hard but I think that any man who puts a girl in this position is not about to go easy on her.
I think I need a cuddle now. I need to snuggle up in someone’s lap and calm down.
It is slightly different but such a pretty pink colour and wonderful to read on and to write on when I need to be very good and away from the TV.
Speaking of which I need, need, need to be better behaved and try to write my book. I am not being modest – it is my first book and I do not think it is very good. I want to finish it and then I want to make it better and better. I find that doing a post every day here is stopping me from doing the writing that I need to. I am going to do a post every other day from now until I get somewhere with my book. (Except today when I want to write the post that Rich suggests in the comments bit of Bend Over.)
So I feel a bit bad about reducing the posts but something has to give and I very much want to be able to finish my book. (I keep saying “my” book to see if that will help me believe that I can do it.)
Hope you are having a wonderful day.

I like that picture a lot. And you described it very well and accurately
Also, I´d like to get that piece of furniture. It would look nice in our living room!

Maria
I have one just like it but mine is pink!
Good morning!

Good morning, Poppy
Noooo way! You´re pulling my leg, right? If not, I very much envy you!

I will send you a picture. It is a pretty piece. I was left it by my aunt, so I love it.
Oh please, send me a picture, you lucky girl
Poppy, good morning, though if the weather there is like the weather here, I doubt if even the ducks like it.

A very shy making subject, I imagine.
She is the very model of a naughty girl, perfectly presented to receive her warranted correction.
I’m intrigued by your pink sofa, is it good girl pink or naughty girl dark pink?
That piece of furniture looks possibly late Victorian or Edwardian, or it could be a copy, I’m no expert.
Whatever the weather, enjoy your day.
Love and warm hugs,
Paul.
Good morning, Paul. It is all sunny here and pretty. I will see if I can send some lovely weather down to you.
I will put a picture up of my pink sofa and you can judge for your self.
I am having a lovely day and I hope you are too.
I don’t have a pink sofa like that, but I do have a very Victorian red one. It is boudoir red, blushy red, no thank you I don’t need another spanking red. When I bought it I thought it might be a bit much in the living room, but it turned out to be just the thing. Not everyone can have pink or red sofas in the living room. I think it says something about those of us who do! (Not sure what it says, but it says something!)
I used to have a red sofa too
That is rather a lovely piece of furniture, and girl of course, though she is rather impudent to be looking back like that. I can imagine you might need some sort of calming influence, empathetic emotions wise.
She looks remarkably docile to me, but I’m sure it depends on your point of view!
Wonderful photo, Poppy. I do love her schoolgirl uniform – especially the way it is situated *G* – but her expressionless face does leave me flat. Maybe it is because we cannot see her mouth which may be showing fear, or fight or contrition.
I think she is glancing at the door he has gone through. She is waiting, expecting, not dreading because she won’t let herself think about it.

I think I make just the same face.
I think that type of couch was called a “courting couch” the absence of a back made the courting couple sit up straight,so NO kanoodling! Nice post can’t wait to see your couch Poppy.
Here it is! It is on my post- pretty pink.
Scarlet, I like the cut of your jib.
Book writing can be a very lonely occupation, especially compared to blogging. But if the book is in you it has to come out somehow.
Dev, I love what you said! You’re so right. Poppy, we’ll miss daily posts, but you must do the right thing for you. We’ll be here waiting for you!
Poppy, thanks for the lovely picture of what I would call a dusky rose Chaise Longue.

It is a beautiful piece of furniture, my MIL had one in green on which I enjoyed a few postprandial naps.
I can imagine you draped on it in a flowing pink negligee, and him-self’s face when he saw you.
I will miss your daily posts, but am eagerly awaiting your novel, which I am sure will be wonderful.
Love and warm hugs,
Paul.
Hi,
I hope the book is in me. I hope it is. If it isn’t I will do some colouring.
I promise I will have posts every second day, that is not too bad, is it?
Paul, I love it too, this piece. It is pretty and lovely to lie on. I can only think with Himself that I would spend more time draped over it than on it. But it nice to dream. Thank you for your confidence in me.
xx
Oh Poppy, I send my very best wishes for your book, exciting for you and us when we get to read it
Love,
Ronnie

Much luck and success with your book, Poppy! As Dev says, if it is in you it must come out. Just remember the disclaimer that any similarities to real people are purely coincidental. Must protect yourself from the likes of Vi and Durward. *G*
Beautiful chaise longue Poppy! Love, love, love the colour!
Thank you, Kate. I love it too.
Ronnie and Michael, I am sorry I missed you before. I would like to tell you that it was because I have been busy writing but that would be a fib.
Thank you for your kind wishes.
I’ve always thought a chaise the most perfect piece of furniture over which to be spanked…or made to drape over (as you say!) and to wait and wait in dreaded anticipation of what is to come. Mine will be in fuschia pink velvet…one day soon I hope!
Love the post though and best of british with the book…I keep putting mine off too!
Love Jo
Thanks again , Jo.
I am working on it (the book and the furniture!)
