I hope to goodness I have not used this picture before.
I just adore it and there have been about fifty three times when I wanted to use it but I left it thinking a better time will come.
Well, I want it to have its own post.
I love this picture so much because I cannot think of a better way to sum up what it is to be me and I suspect it would for for some other girls.
We can be grown up and we like to wear the pretty grown up under garments that evoke womanhood and all the pretty secrets of joys that entails.
Like the telephant on the bed, we have the elements of childhood with us still, we (most of us) try to hide them away but they stand out to those people that know us well. As I wrote a few days ago, I am learning to value and love that part of me that is childlike.
This picture also shows how we hide. Maybe we hide how we feel or what we are. Maybe we hide from people at work or our families (that is the most appropriate course of action methinks) but sometimes we even hide from the men that love us.
I hope that hiding from the one that you adore and that adores you is as futile as it is for me, as futile as it is for the girl on this picture.
That picture makes me smile. It has been a slightly rubbish day at work so I am adding one more picture to make me smile. It may make you smile, I hope so. I love these ruffles and, although I am not a fan of fishnet stockings, this outfit looks like it would be lots and lots of fun to wear.

Poppy, it's the child like aspect of our women that in part makes them so lovable.
Please hang onto it.
Warm hugs,
Paul.
I will, Paul.
Although, if I had a week off work, it would be much easier.
May I have my Heffalump back please.

Pippa
Can't be easy getting those fishnet seams straight. I'll bet she had help. A girl needs help from time to time, whether in retrieving a Heffalump or working out how to cope with being found by the man who loves her. Good thing that help is available.
Two delightful photos…..especially like the one at the top of your post. Transactional Analysis has a lot to say about taking care of your inner child.
Think the distinction of childlike and childish is very important.
Thanks Poppy.
